By workday, I am a licensed clinical social worker (who first obtained a Ph.D. to conduct research and teach) and a second-year law student. During my alone time, I write and am the author of the children's books GOODBYE, SCHOOL (Magination Press, 2019) and HOME (Magination Press, 2022); the psychological thriller short story "Misreadings," which is part of the anthology STRONGLY WORDED WOMEN (Not a Pipe Publishing, 2018); and co-author of TRANSFORMING ADHD (New Harbinger Publications, 2017).
I value integrity, connection, compassion, kindness, adventure, courage, a willingness to make mistakes, and playfulness. I want to live, and to help others to live, a rich, full and meaningful life.
May you find my sharing of resources, research and reflection of use.

Thank you for this blog! I started at the top and scrolled down to the bottom. I found it because I got a great impression of your book (browsing at a bookstore, but now it’s on my ‘to acquire list), and I was googling for reviews.
I found the newspaper format a bit difficult to follow, especially when I pressed to see the older articles and it felt like they just popped up all around.
It was very helpful to me read about the difficulty of following through on the things you know – having the knowledge of what’s best to do but not being able to act on it. Sigh.

I’m glad you found my blog. : ) I know it’s hard to know what to do without then being able to do it. I understand the sigh. It’s why Russell Barkley says ADHD is a disorder of performance instead of knowledge. And it’s what gets others so confused; others may give advice all over the place and wonder how come this is insufficient. It’s because they are unaware of the nature of ADHD…it’s the inability to put what you know into action that largely defines the disorder.
